Human being as an egalitarianism

Egalitarianism Definition In the field of Politics
  1. Egalitarian or egalitarianism is an ideology that everyone is equal, and then everyone gets the same rights and opportunities.
  2. The doctrine or the view that man is destined same degree.

Definition In the field of Education
The founding principles which assume that social classes have different various members, of which very clever to very stupid in the same relative proportionshumans as social beings.

Civil society
By its nature, human beings are social beings or society, but it is also given in the form of a mind that is growing and can be developed. In conjunction with humans as social beings, humans have always lived together with other human beings. Encouragement society nurtured since birth will always reveal itself in various forms, therefore, naturally people will always social life. Be regarded as a social human beings, as well as on human beings there is a push and the need to relate (interaction) with others, people will not be able to live as a human being if it does not live in the midst of human beings.Without the help of other human beings, human beings may not be able to walk upright. With the help of others, people could use a hand, being able to communicate or talk, and be able to develop the full potential of humanity. It can be concluded that a human said to be social beings, for several reasons:
a. Humans are subject to the rules, social norms.
b. Human behavior is hoping an assessment of others.
c. Humans have a need to interact with others
d. Human potential will develop, if they lived in the midst of human beings.

Social interaction and socialization

1. Social Interaction
Derived from the inter word and action word. Social interaction is a reciprocal relationship of mutual influence between individuals, social groups, and communities.Interaction is a process in which people communicate, mutual influence, influence the thoughts and actions. As we know, that people in everyday life is not separated from one another relationship.Social interaction between individuals happens when two people meet, the interaction begins at the time they greet each others, shaking hands, talking, or maybe even a fight. Such activities are forms of social interaction.

Social interaction occurs with based on the following factors.
  •  Imitation is a process of imitation or copying.
  • The suggestion is a process where an individual receives a visual way or guidelines for the behavior of others without being criticized beforehand. What is meant here is the influence of suggestion in physics, both coming from himself and from others, which are generally accepted without any criticism. Meaning of suggestion and imitation in conjunction with social interaction is almost the same. The difference is that imitation of the people who follow one himself, while at the suggestion someone gives a view or attitude from him, then accepted by another person on the outside.
  •  Identification in psychology means the urge to be identical (same) with another person, both physically and mentally.
  •  Sympathy is feeling attraction of one person against another. Sympathy arises not on the basis of logical rational, but based on the assessment of such feelings is also in the process of identification.

2. Forms of Social Interaction
The forms of social interaction can be either collaboration (cooperation), competition, and the contention (conflict). A state can be considered as the fourth form of social interaction, the four points of social interaction need not be a continuity in the sense that the interaction was initiated with the cooperation that went on to become the competition and culminated into contention to finally arrive at the accommodation.

3. Socialization
Peter Berger defines socialization as a process in which a child learns to be a participating member of society (Berger, 1978: 116).One theory is the theory of the role associated socialization George Herbert Mead. In theory described in the book Mind, Self, and Society (1972). Mead outlines the stages of gradual development through interaction with other community members, namely through several stages of a stage play, the game stage, and the stage of generalized other.According to Mead in the first stage, a stage play, a child began to learn to take the role of people in the surrounding areas. At this stage of the game stage of child not only has to know the role that must be executable, but one has also determine the role to be performed by others with whom one interacts. In the third stage of socialization, a person deemed to have been able to take on roles that run other people in the community are able to take on the role of generalized others. one has been able to interact with others in the community because one has understood their own role and the role of others with whom one interacts.According to Cooley is one's self-concept develops through interaction with others. Self develops through interaction with others is by Cooley named looking-glass self.Cooley believes looking-glass self is formed through three stages. The first stage of a person has perceptions about other people's views against one. In the next stage of assessing a person has the perception of the other person against one's appearance. In the third stage a person has a sense of what one felt as the judgment of others against it.The parties who carry out socialization, according to Fuller and Jacobs (1973: 168-208) identifies the primary socialization agents: family, play groups, mass media, and the education system.

4. The shape and pattern of socialization
a. Forms of socialization. Socialization is a process that lasts throughout the life of man. In this regard the experts spoke about the forms of socialization processes such as socialization after childhood, lifelong education, or continuing education.
b. Patterns of socialization. Basically we know two patterns of socialization, patterns of repression that emphasizes the use of penalties to errors. And participatory pattern which is a pattern in which children are rewarded when well-behaved and the child becomes the center of socialization.

5. Understanding Copyright
Copyright is a human longing to know the secret of all things in his experience covering the inner and outer experience and the results of a range of scientific creativity.

Friendship

Sometimes our preoccupation is on having friends. Perhaps we should focus on being a friend.

What is friendship?

Friendship is a type of relationship between two people who care about each other. But such a dry definition doesn't do the concept of friendship justice. Consider these examples: A friend is the first person you want to call when you hear good news. A friend remembers that you don't like pickles on your sandwich. A friend will accompany you on the most boring of errands and make them seem fun.
In other words, friendship is wonderful, and much ink has been spilled in citing the virtues of having friends. That's not to say friendship is easy, though. It demands time and effort, and it requires that people put someone other than themselves first sometimes. But in exchange for that work, a friend can provide an immense amount of support and comfort in good times and in bad.

Many qualities are necessary for a good friendship, including honesty, trustworthiness, loyalty and unconditional acceptance. A friendship should make both people in the relationship happy; both people should have fun when they spend time together. To be perfectly frank, that's a tall order. Human beings can clash very easily, which is why it's hard for some people to maintain many friendships. It's possible that friendship can exist between two people at one stage of life, but life changes and personal growth may make friendship impossible at another stage. It can be hard to meet the people who would make the perfect friend.

But wait, the definition of a friend has changed in today’s technologically connected world. Today we may think we have many “friends.” It is true, we do enjoy the ability to be informed and to stay current with what is happening in the lives of many of our acquaintances as well as current and former friends and even people we have not met personally whom we call our friends.

In the context of social media, the term “friend” is often used to describe contacts rather than relationships. You have the ability to send your “friends” a message, but this is not the same thing as having a relationship with a person one on one... Sometimes our preoccupation is on having friends. Perhaps we should focus on being a friend.

True friends influence those with whom they associate to “rise a little higher and be a little better.” You can help one another, particularly young men, prepare for and serve honorable missions. You can help one another remain morally clean. Your righteous influence and friendship can have an eternal effect not only on the lives of those with whom you associate but also on generations to come.

So, let me tell you my little story, although I realized that I was beset with many problems, I remain optimistic, not because I am optimistic, but I was surrounded by a group of people who are very amazing and very awesome in my opinion. although I included "new guy" in this group, but they accept me as I am, where I just mediocre, not cool and even weirdo with all my limitations.

I thought, a very warm friendship only happens when we were still in high school, but the fact that I have found in this group are very different, I feel like back in the days where my wild spirit like out of the cage, (let's LOL).
What I mean is, it's not about what I have so that I could be one of them, but what I do not have so that they fill it, without compromising....

Now, for me, when I thought about friendship one of the words which came to my mind is “door”. I strongly believe that friendship is like a door which leads people through astonishing and sometimes mysterious journeys. I have to admit that this door has often been opened to me and I’m really grateful for all the friends who in some way or another are part of my present, past and hopefully my future. Throughout my life, I was blessed to having best friends I could ever have. Some of them are in my home town and some others will be really far soon, so I’d like to give them the little gift of expressing how much they mean to me and how they have touched my life forever.

Thank you guys, you just bring back my memories of the joyful to having friends in my life...
stay healthy, stay awesome, hope we meet again.. you guys so fucking coooooooool !!! uhuuuuuuy !

System Of A Down - Aerials

Hey. I wasn't planning on doing this at all. But I was watching System of a Down's "Aerials" video out of a bit of nostalgia, when it suddenly hit me how symbolic the video actually was. So I spent about 20 or so minutes writing down stuff I noticed through the video, compiled a list, compared the apparent themes of the video to the lyrical matter, and have come up with something interesting. You see, in this case, it appears as if the meaning of "Aerials" as a song goes hand in hand with the video. If you listen to the lyrics alone and don't pay attention to the visuals, the lyrics seem like just very vague statements about life. But I think that the story told in the symbolism of the video is reflected strongly in the lyrics. So even if you don't like the band, don't listen to them, or etc, I hope you read, because I think that this is pretty interesting stuff. Sorry for any over-used wording, such as "as far as I'm concerned", "I think", "to me", etc. The details of language aren't important to me, mainly just the effectiveness of communicating my ideas.

Here's the video for reference.
I've placed occasional times in the video so you don't get lost if I prattle on too much

I'd like to note that I'm going to analyze the video first, and then the lyrics, because cross referencing them will give a better idea of what they're each about. I think the lyrics of the song make more sense if you understand the theme of the video.

0:00

The opening of the video starts with a desolate wasteland, where the center is a tent. This is kind of symbolic of the theme of the song and accompanying video, but we'll get to that a bit later.

A hiding child inside of this huge tent sees the band ready to start playing the song, and is first hiding from the band. The band stands in a circle, where the center of the circle is empty, and the circle as a whole resembles a sun symbol. For future reference, I believe that the sun symbol represents the attention of people in general. The reason why System of a Down is not in the center will become more relevant later.

The child comes out and reveals himself to have a very alien-like appearance. In a sense, a deformity. Considering the events of the rest of the video, I consider this to be a superficial quality of the child that is less a reflection of his personality and more a reflection of what the people see in him- appearances.

0:40

We cut to L.A., a scene with a bunch of bouncing car and overall "gangster" imagery. The background shows the boy's face all over the billboards and buildings of L.A. The child acts thug-like in a group full of similar acting people.

We see a shot of the child hanging out with two women in red dresses, their arms around him.

The child is riding through LA in a car, the two women in the back seat and a man driving him. The color red is prominent throughout the entire video, and the car itself is red.

The child is escorted through the hollywood walk of fame by the women in the red dresses. Whereas before it was evident that the child was enjoying the attention, he now shows evidence of not enjoying it. The child in the case of the video is representative of inner child, as well as of fame in general, as the attention he has received is first very well recieved by him, but is now starting to die off, and he's less interested in his status. He's starting to slouch into a visible depression.

1:37

Next, we see him in a day-time bar like setting, the women in red dresses still surrounding him like before. Only this time, it's different actresses, who are clearly meant to be significantly less attractive than before. It seems clear to me that these women represent "groupies" in a sense, or at least women that crowd around famous people. I believe that we see the entire video from the child's perspective, and in this case, the effect of having women in easy access is now wearing off, and he's seeing the ugliness inside of them. Also present is an older man. I believe this guy to be somewhat representative of an executive of sorts, as just the child's mere presence in the room leads to significant attention.

The child walks out of the apparent bar to an adoring crowd of paparazzi. The child is clearly not happy. He is escorted out of the bar by a man and the two women in red dresses.

So far, I've only been really discussing the things that happen in the child's story, but the entire time there's been cuts to the band playing (within the tent). But there's one key scene where the child is back in the tent. The child opens his eyes and stares upwards towards the ceiling. There appear to be things in the upper part of the tent, but I can't tell what. But I think it relates to the "aerials" theme.

2:47

We cut to what I think is one of the most important scenes in the video... the child, stiff, standing in front of two women who are modeling for a photoshoot, of which the child is the most important part of the shoot. One of the women is wearing red, the other is wearing turquoise. A different woman who is wearing red walks away shortly with a red shirt and a turquoise shirt. Not sure of the significance, maybe you could tell me?

We see slow motion shots of a very extreme photographer taking photos of the boy... something's clearly wrong, because usually photographers act like that towards... people of similar energy being photographed. Not a child with an angry expression standing dead still. In a sense, this is a mini-critique on the ridiculousness of the media.

The woman in red with the shirts tries to see if the turquoise shirt fits on the boy. Not sure of the significance, but colors play a big role in this video. A very important thing to note is that I took the color red in MS paint and hit "invert colors", and I pretty much got the turquoise, lightish blue color of the scene. So maybe that has significance? I don't know.

3:21

A bit later, we cut to a scene of the boy in the bar receiving falling money as the two women from the beginning (?) surround him. All three of them are happy. The women in red from the bar are in the back sitting down. What this says to me, at least, is that this boy made some sort of deal, in a sense, sold out for money and fortune, and is receiving temporary happiness. Soon after this scene, we see the boy in the tent, now empty, walking towards the center. The whole time he does this, there's flashes of the band as well as flashes of earlier scenes. The video ends with the boy laying down, as if depressed or exhausted, in the center of the sun. What I think this all means is that the boy represents famous people or people who wish to be famous and make money. At least, he represents the inner child of them, and in another sense, also represents people who were famous by accident, be it child stars or people with deformities such as the elephant man. The sun is the center of attention of people such as the media and pop culture. The child is at first hiding away because he has yet to become famous. At the end, when he depressingly walks towards the center, he is in the limelight, he is famous, and depressed and exhausted. This is not what he truly needed.

Going back to the pivotal scene where he stares up at the "Aerials", this kind of leads into the lyrics. I think what that image means is that the child has opened his eyes up to the not too good goal of becoming famous or fortunate. The reason why it's a tent in the desert is because the desert represents the loneliness of his essence, and the tent represents the "media circus", so to speak. The child is the center of attention, and at first he likes it, but as it progresses, he sees less and less worth in his decision, but he clearly made a deal when he accepted a ton of money, thus the paparazzi. He is temporarily happy as in the scene of him receiving tons of money, but it shows that he doesn't remain happy for long. Meanwhile, the people surrounding him are shown as ridiculous, ugly people, who all seem to adore him. The gang from the beginning is relatively faceless because they're never the center of attention. The women in red dresses get a lot of attention because they represent one of the main prizes of fame, and eventually, one of the main costs of fame, which is a gradual disgust towards what you once thought was beautiful.

The band, in the case of the video, is just there to sing the song. But since they are a part of the video at all, that means that the song carries meaning to go along with the video, as far as I'm concerned.

The lyrics -

"Life is a Waterfall
We're one in the river
and we're one again after the fall"

I think this means that we either spend our whole lives being more than one person, or that we start out whole, split, and then become whole later on in life. With the video, this line means that the child is not really himself in some way.

"Swimming through the void
we hear the word
we lose ourselves but we find it all"

More water imagery, and since water is supposed to be life, it seems to suggest that we are looking for our way in life, but as we lose ourselves we find it all, to suggest that as we get famous or make a lot of money, we lose our true selves in the process.

"Cause we are the ones that want to play
always want to go
but you never want to stay"

"Want to play" to me means that we want to play the game of life. We always want to strive for fame or fortune and never want to live our lives with what we have. Interesting how it switches from "we are", to "you never". The switch in perspective to me means that SOAD represents the ones that want to play. The child represents the one who never wants to stay. SOAD, in context of the video, I think is supposed to be the people in the background making the decisions, not the celebrities that are presented. THEY are the ones that want to play, as if they're playing with your life, but YOU never want to stay. To me, this could go either way. Either it means they never want to stay famous, or they never want to NOT be famous. And in that case, they never want to NOT be famous until they actually have to live with the consequences.

"And we are the ones that want to choose
always want to play
but you never want to lose"

To me, this means that you want to get everything out of life (fame or fortune again), but you never want to give that all up. And in context with the video, the people NOT in the spotlight that make important decisions want to "choose" (in general), but the celebrities in the spotlight always want to play the game of getting rich and famous, but they never want to live with the consequences.

"Aerials in the sky
when you lose small mind
you free your life"

Not sure what the "aerials" are supposed to be, but I kind of assume that it means the prize that you strive to achieve. When you DON'T get fame and fortune out of life, or when you give it all up, you are truly free from such materialistic endeavors. "Small mind" either implies the childishness of such goals or the narrow scope of such goals.

"Life is a waterfall
we drink from the river
then we turn around and put up our walls"

I'm guessing that drinking from the river means barely getting much out of life before turning your back on it. Since it feels like it's talking about fame and fortune, it may mean getting rich and then creating a protective shield against all of the "troubles" of the real world.

"Swimming through the void
we hear the word
we lose ourselves but we find it all
Cause we are the ones that want to play
always want to go
but you never want to stay
and we are the ones that want to choose
always want to stay but you never want to lose"

Repetition, I already explained it.

"Aerials in the sky
When you lose small mind
you free your life
Aerials, so up high
when you free your eyes
eternal prize"

Aerials represent the ultimate goal of fame and fortune, so when you "free your eyes", that means when you think beyond just materialistic needs, you get a much more eternal worth out of it.

Now, the last few things I've said have been contradictory, so I offer two interpretations to what the band themselves represent in the video

1.As I've said before, they could represent the malicious people behind the scenes who manipulate people's lives for personal gain, and ruin their lives in the process.

2.It could also be that SOAD represents people who HAVE gotten famous and fortunate, as a warning tale to others that fame and fortune shouldn't be the ultimate goal in life.

I think you guys know what is your truly ultimate goal. don't be so childish

Once there lived a beautiful princess. She was very fond of birds, every morning a little bird used to come to her palace and sing for her. The princess was very happy to see the lovely bird and listen to its music. The bird visited the palace daily and the princess waited eagerly for its visit every day. She was almost in love with the bird. She wished that the bird should keep company with her all the day.

One day the princess put the bird in a golden cage and served it the best type of food. But the bird felt sad. It did not sing and eat anything. In spite of the best food the bird began to grow weak day by day. It did not sing as before. One day the princess asked the bird the reason for all this. The bird said, “I want to be set free.”

The kind princess set the bird free. The bird flew happily to its freedom. The next morning the bird was back again with its usual song..

The story tells us that even the birds do not want to live in captivity, however well they are fed. This shows us the importance of freedom.

Even your pet dog or cat does not want to be fettered in chains. Man is born free. He does not want to be kept in prison. He loves to lead a free and independent life. This is the reason why our freedom fighters fought bravely, suffered heavily and even faced death for the sake of freedom of our country. They preferred death than to a life of slavery. This is the important they gave to freedom, to liberty, and the freedom of speech.

A great Indian leader Bal Gangadhar Tilka said, “Freedom is my birth right and I shall have it.”

Ok.. let's take a free trip to the timeline of history of free speech.

There are various types of freedom. Political freedom means the freedom from foreign domination. It empowers a nation to form the government of it sown people and to govern them independently. Freedom of religion means that an individual is free to practice, profess or propagate any religious rites according to his religion. Individual freedom means those freedoms which are necessary for an individual to improve and develop himself. One cannot feel happy without individual freedom. Economic freedom is the most important aspect of freedom.

Every country allows certain types of rights or freedom to its citizens. These are known as fundamental rights. Some of these rights are freedom of speech and expression, freedom of religion, right to equality, right to justice, freedom of forming association and freedom of living or settling anywhere in the country.

These rights and freedom are not absolute. There are certain limitations to it. We cannot do anything whether right or wrong at our will. If there are no limitations to our freedom, it will become a rule of the judge. The strong would do as they like and the others will be at their mercy. The people will behave like animals.

We need liberty or freedom to develop, improve and grow to the fullest extent. It is not possible for us to enjoy absolute freedom. There must be some reasonable restrictions on our freedom in order to allow others to enjoy their rights and freedom. The limitations are a necessary safeguard for our freedom so that we may enjoy our freedom and allow others to enjoy theirs. Unlimited freedom is a dangerous thing. It will bring about confusion and ruin our freedom.

Indonesia

Borobudur Temple via nationalgeographic.com

Indonesian, the most friendly inhabitants of the earth, mutual assistance to each other, helping each other, polite and smiling. If may be described, the Indonesian people as protagonist in a novel or a film that is quite stressful. Indonesia is a living paradise, with 17 thousand islands, coastlines reached 99 093 kilometers and are in the Pacific Ring of Fire, Indonesia has many natural tourist destinations such as mountains and beaches are endless even to visit one by one though with a lifetime traveling.
not just on the surface, underwater tours in Indonesia is no less interesting because Indonesia has a dive destination that became one of the best in the world.

Raja Ampat via ghozi25.wordpress.com

It's not a secret anymore that Indonesia was one of the countries that has the most rich cultural diversity in the world with more than 750 tribes and 500 languages and local dialects. Indonesian arts and culture has been recognized in international eyes, even gamelan is taught in schools abroad. In Indonesia, will often encountered people that greet or smile at others as they passed in the street. This is because the habits of people in Indonesia who are so communal makes them more open, even tend to want to know, to strangers.

However, there are still some critics that did not have a good attitude, not knowing its purpose in criticizing, not even knowing why do they criticize?. More specifically, the context of "criticizing" no longer fit for some people in Indonesia, but rather to "judge". There are still some taxonomy, grouping, categorizing and forth in a sociable environment, still there are some groups that cover themselves, reluctant to accept, reject other opinion, even disparage things that considered as different from their opinion. Has become human nature to afraid of something that they don't know yet, but it doesn't mean to reject it.

There is nothing wrong with the difference of opinion. Any disagreement should be appreciated as a sign of  the other person's concern. However, consider into the human rights that have the freedom to use their mind, it could be a matter addressed differently or even exclusive. Moreover, if the topic of the discussion was still in the gray area or ambiguous. This is the cause of the difference of opinion.

Although there are rules that say "it's not what you say, but the way you say it". can not be forced to everyone for speaking and behaving as you wish. Therefore, it should also apply the principle "it's not the messenger but the message, do not shot the messenger", (argumentum ad hominem), but the argument that it conveys. Many things can make a person to have a different opinions with other people. If the goal is for the common good in an atmosphere of equality, then there is no right to judge who is right or who is wrong. Therefore. it's required disclosure of all parties to accept the existence of an understanding of others that are not in line with the understanding of the other one. This is where the principle applies to agree for disagree. as Voltaire said, "I Disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it".

consider from things above. because of the difference of opinion then could see an issue through other perspectives that may have previously escaped from consideration. Thus, the understanding of a thing becomes more comprehensive, complete, and thoroughly. Is this not very useful for the progress and maturity of Indonesia? Remember the motto of Indonesia? "Bhinneka tunggal ika". Unity in diversity.

Indonesia

Walau ada kaidah yang mengatakan it’s not what you say, but the way you say it (bukan yang dikatakan, melainkan cara mengatakannya), tidaklah bisa dipaksakan semua orang bertutur dan bersikap sesuai keinginan. Oleh sebab itu, perlu juga menerapkan di sini prinsip it’s not the messenger but the message, don’t shot the messenger. I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it".

"Bhinneka tunggal ika". Berbeda-beda tetapi tetap satu.
